From the Front lines After Haiti’s Devastating Earthquake
Caplan liaised with the Lambi Fund’s humanitarian crisis in Haiti and its U.S. delegation at the White House and in Miami following 2010’s catastrophic magnitude 7.0 Mw Haiti Earthquake. We consulted for the client with news placements on national network and cable TV, and local news coverage with critical calls to action toward American audiences. Caplan conveyed the plight of Haitians through their Chairman Marie St. Cyr’s extended travels to Haiti’s earthquake zones. She discussed the rescue and delivery of relief supplies and the critical delivery of water. Our decisive social services and public awareness strategy for policy advocacy advanced authentic Haitian voices during the recovery and early in the rebuilding process.
