Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Religion and Faith Program hired Caplan to generate statewide, national, and local news for interfaith clergy members, theologians, and local communities of faith. We uncovered a patchwork of discriminatory objections against endorsing a federally mandated hate crimes law. We amplified faith voices in battleground states, and designed press coverage for an annual national Clergy Call for Justice and Equality on Capitol Hill. We also helped to ensure more Americans knew why the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization fought to end workplace discrimination through ENDA, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
